Product Overview

A simple to use, cost effective full condition based maintenance (CBM) system including full asset management.

Intuitive, Windows based software (easy to understand and use) running on an ultra rugged (waterproof and droppable) Pocket PC that combines exceptional processing power with high resolution graphics in a powerful portable predictive maintenance (PdM) tool.

Pocket VibrA Pro includes our world leading C-Trend PC software that allows automatic trending, report generation, emailing of alarms etc.

C-Trend is also a full asset management tool and can trend and monitor ANY process variable.

Features

  • Full graphical trending of all vibration data with colour coded alarms and asset status
  • Easy set-up Asset Wizard™ with built-in industry standard settings for motors, pumps & fans
  • Diagnoses and displays out-of-balance, misalignment, looseness and bearing faults
  • Automatic user-editable report generation
  • Self-identifying “smart” accelerometer
  • Automatic measurement point recognition using RFID tags (saves latest reading to the tag!)
  • Easy navigation: simply point and click
  • Display and trend important additional user-defined process information e.g. oil pressure, bearing temperature, anything!

Pocket VibrA software functionality:

Asset manager:

  • Displays sites, assets and measurement dates and times as a "tree" structure.
  • Stylus free navigation of route and measurement points and capture of readings using keypad.
  • Assets can be Created, Edited, Copied and Pasted into Sites (password protected on Pocket VibrA).
  • Simple "meter" mode with FFT and waveform display.
  • Options to "run asset" (take new readings) or "continue asset" (add to previous readings).
  • Auto identification of measurement points using RFID tags or auto recognition of "smart" accelerometer via easy to use set up procedure.

"Run asset" display:

  • Individual measurement points (MP) are numbered and described with text.
  • MPs are colour coded to show whether a reading has been taken or not.
  • Previously taken readings can be viewed or retaken.

Measurement point readings display:

  • User selectable simultaneous display of any four from: ISO mm/s, Total RMS (mm/s or g), Bearing quality, Peak (g) or Crest Factor.
  • Time waveform and frequency plots (zoomable axes) with harmonic cursors.
  • VA bands displayed as alarm colour coded RMS values.

Benefits

  • Very easy to use and set up (uses Wizards)
  • Requires little or no training
  • High resolution (up to 0.3 Hz) automatic bearing fault detection
  • Auto detection and trending of balance, misalignment, looseness etc
  • Easy to interpret colour graphic displays with predictive trendlines
  • Automatic reporting in MS Word
  • No software license fees and free updates

Specifications

C-Trend Analysis software functionality:

Asset manager:

  • Displays asset status (valid, warning or alarm) for ISO mm/s and bearing quality with date and time of reading.
  • Assets can be Created, Edited, Deleted, Copied and Pasted into Sites.
  • Sites (and their assets) can be downloaded to Pocket VibrA unit for data collection.
  • Routes can be automatically set up and down loaded.
  • Reports can be created on individual or groups of assets (selected via the Report Wizard) and produce editable Word files with embedded Excel graphs for trends and frequency plots.
  • Automatic emailing of alarms and exceptions.

Measurement point display:

  • Total vibration (mm/s and g), ISO mm/s (10Hz-1kHz), Bearing Quality, VA Bands (instability, balance, misalignment and looseness) plus any number of user defined parameters (text or numerical values).
  • Individual readings (on any date) can be selected for frequency plot or waveform display (all axes are zoomable). Top ten peaks can be displayed and sorted by frequency or amplitude.
  • Waterfall plots for easy comparison of frequency plots.

PocketVibraProThese are some typical screens that the user might see when using the unit. Extensive use is made of icons for function selection and both touch screen and keyboard entry are simultaneously available. Data is very easily entered by typically selecting from drop down menus. Zooming into displayed graphs etc is done simply by touching the screen and dragging a zoom box.
